Reversed Phase
Core-Shell Columns for UHPLC and HPLC
YMC Meteoric Core C18 and C8
Features:
- Easy method optimization
- Ultra fast separation and outstanding resolution
- Excellent peak shape on basic and coordination compounds
- Wide usable pH range
- Low column bleed - ideal for LC/MS
Meteoric Core C18 and Meteoric Core C8 can shorten the analysis time by two thirds when compared to conventional fully porous columns with the same column dimensions run under the same analysis.
Theoretical plate number is maintained at 2X faster flow rate for the
Meteoric Core column compared to fully porous columns, while resolution is maintained at an operating pressure below 5,000 psi.

The fast, high resolution separation of geometric isomers of parabens helps to demonstrate the performance of
Meteoric Core C18. These isomers are typically difficult to separate.
YMC Meteoric Core C18 reduced separation time by 1/3 under HPLC conditions, and by 2/3 under UHPLC conditions (higher flow and pressure), without loss of resolution.
Excellent Peak Shape with Basic Compounds

- Chlorpheniramine
- Dextromethorphan
- Propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (I.S.)

Meteoric Core C18 column is a high resolution column which provides excellent peak shapes for basic compounds (Peaks 1 and 2) compared to sub-2 µm Core-Shell columns. Chromatographers can expect ultrafast analysis of basic compounds with highly quantitative and sensitive analysis by using
Meteoric Core C18.
